Family Life In America

Every year you can expect to find a publication showing social indicators of marital health and well-being, including family life in America. At the tail end of the year, the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia and the Center for Marriage and Families at the Institute for American Values released the 2011 issue of The State of Our Unions: When Baby Makes Three—How Parenthood Makes Life Meaningful and How Marriage Makes Parenthood Bearable.

According to David Lapp’s press release, on December 8, 2011, the report “explores the links between marriage, parenthood, meaning in life, and happiness; it also identifies ten factors that are associated with high levels of marital happiness among married parents.”
